*Davis Futbol Club News* Dear DFC Members,
In an effort to find a venue that would accommodate a larger group, I have postponed our AGM until March 3rd, 7:00 pm at the South Davis Library auditorium in the basement. Since this is the most important meeting of the year, I felt that we need to make an extra effort to involve as many members, coaches and parents, that we can. So please notify the parents of each player and invite them out. Help them to understand that member involvement is crucial for the success on the club. I have had several people ask what is the purpose of the AGM. The main purpose is to elect next years officers for the club. This past year we have operated on a skeleton crew. It is needed to fill all the offices that are listed in the by-laws, namely: president, secretary, treasurer and directors. I have now served as president for the past three years and I have enjoyed working with everyone, but for the good of the club, it is necessary for a new perspective and enthusiasm. So, if you know someone who is willing and able to shoulder these responsibilities for the next year, please talk to them and make sure they are at this meeting on the 3rd. it is very important that we have good attendance at this meeting. We need coaches and parents there.
I have attached the Club By-laws if anybody is interested. If you do have anything that you would like to discuss about the by-laws, let me know.
At this meeting we will also discuss the items that were covered in the State and District AGMs. Some of the business could have a major impact on DFC and soccer in Davis County.
Also, we’ll discuss this spring season and the future of DFC.
If there is anything else that you would like to be put on the agenda of the meeting, please send me an email and I will put it on the agenda.
Thanks,
